Dear Acalvi,
Thank you SO much for posting these glorious images. I have the Alfa Romeo Camion book and none of these are in there so I am very grateful to you for sharing them.
My Romeo 2 is soon to start it's re-assembly. The body is back on the chassis and the engine has been re-installed. The body is currently being prepared for painting with a silver roof, grille and wheels over an Alfa 501 Red lower section below the waitline - the Scuderia del Portello racing colours. I hope to have it finished in April.
Best regards, James.

I'd love to have one of the Romeo buses or taxis, but I don't know of any left, other than the one-off that was for sale a few years ago (with the taller roof, that was supposedly used at the Alfa factory), and had an asking price of something like 60,000 Euros.

Do you happen to know if any of the "supermarket" or "ice cream truck" versions were actually built??

Hello,
Here is mine! It was the one you all saw on eBay.com a few months ago from LA.
It starts it's restoration in January, any colour ideas from anyone? I thought Alfa Red but now thinking sky / baby blue would be better??
Regards, James.

Just found this thread, and I didn't know who bought Mike Harper-Smith's Romeo. I think the ideal paint job would be a cream roof, red upper body, and white lower body.

I found this Romeo ambulance around the web. Has an unusually high roof for a ambulance. From movie "Teorema".

In the background, after the glass door, I seem to see a prancing horse symbol of Ferrari.

Here is a response from a friend of mine, historic White Cross of Milan.

"Yes, it is very particular. I remember the version of the machine 1,
what had once been awarded the Fair of Turin in the years
'60. Unfortunately we do not have a photographic record if not
especially the passenger cabin with the door open, visible in
photos shown in home.
hello"

I found my latest project in the UK
Transported back to the Netherlands last friday (14-05-2010)

I'm planning to restore it into a car transporter, or keep it original?

Hello James. Well the picture was posted by 'yannick' within the women and alfas picture thread (May2008).
in the following post 'Bill S' said he thought they were meant to be Romeo & Juliet, a plublicity stunt, part of the launch of the new Giulietta.?????Sounds plausible
