that's activated at 10-12 g's which sound like too much. Here's another one on Page 40 http://smartracing.net/pdfcat/srp2006_engine_fuel.pdf that's been tested on hi-po race cars that's probably (the same) or similar. Can you buy one for a "regular" car that's subject to "normal" impacts?

I would just go to the local pick-n-pull and get one off a late model car. I'm planning on doing this too and was going to use one off a Ford Taurus.

I spun out my spider and ended up in a ditch with a broken fuel line. The inertia switch did not stop the pump. There was gas everywhere.

Sometime later, the same switch started opening up for no reason other than it was hot. I think that they are worthless.

Obviously a "lugging" of the engine situation ie: you weren't going fast enough
