Has anyone replaced a centre consol on a spider? mine is a 71 kamntail.. Is it a fairly easy job?

Is the choke the most difficult bit?

Thanks for any help..

Yes, it's a pretty simple task. I replaced the one in my '77 Spider a few years ago. A good DIY project for an afternoon.

Cheers,

Paul
Thanks

Do you know if the choke cable needs to be detached from the carbs and pulled through the console?

Not a hard job. A few things to remember, take note how its assembled. Also the 3 rocker switches, write down how they are connected-i drew diagrams making note of the wire colors-it can be a rats nest in there. The heater needs to come out as well, 2 screws, but the trim piece may come apart. The choke disconnects from the carbs, and pulls through the fire wall-fairly straight forward.
roony, follow my link to register your spider..
Also strongly suggest disconnecting the battery before starting work...lots of live terminals on those 3 switches, so easy to short things out when doing the dismantling.
Thanks for the advice guys!
