When building up high perf Ford engines, I always installed a magnetic pickup in the distributor to eliminate the unreliable transitional mechanical breaker points.

I cannot find a manufacturer makes either magnetic or even optional pickup device for my 1991 Spider.
Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

91 doesn't have points. It's Bosch ignition system.

I have the same problem that i have to deal with this coming spring.
I have a sailboat with an old atomic engine, 4 cyl that i purchased an electronic distributor kit for they both look almost exactly alike. Since I can use a spare im going to buy another from Moyer Marine and try it out. I bet it will work
