first i need to remove the steering wheel i guess..
is there a procedure to follow in a maintenance book somewhere ?

Welcome Miles !!
Some pullers will work, but due to the deep, narrow opening of the steering hub, you need the proper LONG bolts.

I have a few MOMO wheels in cars around here, send me a pic of the hub looking in at the steering shaft nut and I'll give you advise on what to use.
Not a hard job with the right tools.

Thread the nut flush on the end of the steering shaft. Rent a bearing puller tool set from your local auto parts store (free). Mount the large bearing collar behind the black wrinkle-finished wheel adapter and screw in the two legs. Assemble the bridge on the legs and screw in the forcing shaft to remove the wheel. The puller bridge can be assembled through the legs of the adapter, if necessary.
