Can the tach drive be removed on a 1600cc engine with the water pump in place , or must the pump be removed to take out the tach drive? I am just not clear on this. Thanks, Tony
It's fiddly but it'll come out. Unscrew the tach cable, clean up, then two 10mm atf bolts come out at the same angle as the cable entered. Then the whole tach drive, if you're lucky, should pull out.
