Been trying to remove the interior end of the bonnet release cable (164, 1996, 24v 3.0, lusso) but stuck with the white fixing, in the pic.
Looks like the circular plate on the bottom of the square section should unclip but don't want to force anything and end up breaking it. Cleverly, Alfa have made the cable block the final screw on the bracket so impossible to take the whole thing off for an easier look.
Any ideas?

PS. If anyone interested, today I also removed the fuel flap by drilling through the wing - pics added to the 'fuel flap removal' post from a few weeks ago.
