The rear window channel gaskets in our Berlina are loose and whenever you roll down the window it sags and falls out of the channel. My 21month old thinks it's the greatest thing in the world as she can then pull as much out as is visible. :shifty:

I also can't be seen driving around with sagging gaskets, what would people say? ;)

Is the gasket supposed to be glued in? Or a press fit?

The rear gaskets are actually in decent shape, but I know I'll likely replace them at some point so I don't want to glue the snot out of them now and not be able to remove them.

I was thinking a little rubber contact cement might do the trick. Any other suggestions?

What? Thank you mr spammer

Anyway - I just replace mine after changing them only 2 years ago. The first set I installed also were very loose and sunk into the channel too far causing the glass to rattle when rold half way down.
The new replacements (on the left) are much thicker/stiffer and have metal as part of the construction. The backside is a sticky type of rubber that prevents them from moving.
Now, only if I knew where I got them! Not sure - sorry.

Update - I applied a little rubber cement to both the gasket and channel, rolled the windows up overnight, and so far it seems to be holding. I'll update again if it fails.
