Looking for a low mileage and good condition rear axle / differential with a 4.10 ring and pinion ratio.
Please send me a PM / Conversation message if you have one for sale.
Local in Southern California preferred; I can pick up.
Thanks,
Peter

I have a very low mile 4:10 but I'm on the east coast. I saw your ad when you posted it but figured you'd find one closer.

Humm, I Just reviewed your post from Mar 8, 2018 to see how one tells the ratio. It got so complicated it hurt my brain and I quit. If there's an easy way (vs comparing engine revs to tire rev) let us know! Well now that I think of it, with the diff out of the car (in this case), one could turn the diff by hand and see how far the axle shaft rotated!! See what one can learn while COVID sheltering!! LOL Good luck

You don't know "for sure", but 78s came with 4.56 gears.
4.10s weren't used til a while later.
I can research it if you want.

Here ya go:

69-79 - 4.56, 41/9. LSD from 1972, optional in 69 & 71. No 4.10 option.
80-94 - 4.10, 41/10. Manual gearbox.
91-94 - 3.58, 43/12. Automatic gearbox
