The car was owned by...

Henry Wessells for many years. 4 cars like this were built, and 3 raced at LeMans and in the Mille Miglia in 1953. This car first had a body like this built by Colli, than was rebodied by Boano as a street car and given as a gift to Peron. Henry crashed the car while racing in the mid 1980s, than it was rebodied by Diamonte in Italy to look like when it was origionally built. I have drtiven this car and is a great drive...but you have to get used to the clutch as it is either in or out. The car is called a 6c3000CM (6c 3000 "enlarged" to 3500cc)

yes he had a 33 stradale

and any number of pre war cars including at least two 6c1750s that I know of. I have no idea what he still owns. Henry was one of the head engineers at Budd, who design bodies for train cars and other things like that. He made "big bucks" for years, so was able to own some fantastic cars. Henry has been around Alfas since the 1950s (even before Pat Braden!), back when one could buy a 6c1750 for under $1000...

The Stradale that Henry owned was the one that Keith Goring ran at Laguna a few years ago, and sold about 2 or 3 years ago for something like $1 million...
