Last month a friend of mine gave me a CD with 3000+ pictures of races from 1920-1949. Lots of different cars, and of course lots of Alfas. Most of them are 1024 x 7..
I'll show a few here.

Here's Giuseppe Campari with a 40/60 HP, on his way to winning the 1920 Circuito di Mugello.
Anyone has a clue what the car in the ditch might be ?

Thank You!!!

Absolutely wonderful!!

I'm glad that you posted some of these historical motor racing moments.

So few people realize what a glorious racing history ALFA Romeo had. I truly believe that the only one that even comes close is Ferrari.

Seems like ALFA nealy owned auto racing up to and including the magnificent Alfetto Tipo 159.

ps - PLEASE POST MORE PICTURES!!!!!

Thanks for sharing AlfaRonny, absolutely priceless! (Particulalry the P1 photo). Really look forward to seeing more of the collection? Do you have any idea of the origin of the photo's? They have obviously been long lost or well secreted. Great to see them emerge though.

Great pictures. Can you tell us more about the CD you mention? I would love to learn more about it.

Yes, I agree. Is this a CD that is sold commercially?

David
The pictures come from the internet. While searching for Le Mans (he's addicted to Corvettes racing in 24hour races), he came across these pictures and started downloading them for me. I'll ask him where he got them from, and let you know.
In the meantime :
