question?

opon looking at my car after it was hit, i am replacing the driver front finder, but. the steering is off, to the right, should i just drop the hole steering linkage and rest it? but i am worried about the steering box. it is not leaking, but the hit caused the centre link to twist on the steering box, i am hoping is just sliped when it was hit( parked) or should i take it apart to make shure that there is no damage to the box, crakes, etc.?thanks
