I am looking for tips / clues as to the best way to remove the snap ring holding the centre bearing in place on a 105 propshaft.

Using a 20 ton press I managed to get the cap off, but now I'm stuck with the snap ring / circlip. There definitely aren't any holes in the snap ring, so circlip pliers are no good. It's an internal snap ring, so any form of spreader won't work.

Obviously I can use a Dremel to cut the thing off, but having just purchased a 20 ton press, I'd like to try and do thing properly.

Any hints?

Thanks

Can you drill a hole from the side and push it out with a small punch? Seems to me Norman Racing has said they've had to do that.

I used a couple of 90* picks, a bunch of PB blaster, a lot of patience and a couple of walking aways to get it done. They were initially stuck quite well.
