Hi Chris,
It is very hard for anybody to help you with your search for a prop shaft......, any idea how many different types with different lengths were produced.
Please specify which model car you have, is it 1900 or 2000?
I am not familiar with the 2000 propshafts but for the 1900 there are at least 3 different models.
Regards Mike

Hi Chris,

the propshaft from 2000 is different then 1900 which have 3 types

but I think that you can modify a 2000 axle to a 1900 axle

Hi Chris,
Great pictures from Philippe!
Can you tell us what you are looking for?
Is everything missing, are you looking for one of the driveshafts, or both,
Do you have the middle support/bearing?
Regards Mike

Hi everybody,

many thanks Philippeclaude for your pictures. Appreciate. :smile2:

for Goofymike : I am lookink for all parts showned on the pictures posted by Philippeclaude. I don't have any parts of the drive shaft.

I was thinking to adapt something from another Alfa. But if I found the exact prop shaft, it's better !

Have you thought about having a new propshaft made? It might be better than trying to find a used shaft whose joints are worn out and unobtainable. Bailey Morris is one company I could recommend for this work. Even though they are in the UK there is a chance that they have already made a 1900 propshaft so they know the dimensions ...

A little up to thank everyone about my prop shaft searching..

I found one, see picture.

It's not exactly the same as the Philippeclaude's one.

I think mine has 3 u joints and no rubber shaft joint.

Could somebody confirm this point ?

The parts manual indicates 3 lobes is for 1900, 4 lobes for 1900C and 1900TI.

Ah, sorry! I misread your post: You were talking about 3 U-joints, not 3 lobes.

Chris I have a prop shaft from a Touring (convertible) Roadster, it is minimally short of 31" long (787mm). Is that what you seek? Pix if you wish. Des Tennessee.

Pascara,

Happy you did, all I had was the rear shaft, from the doughnut to the differential. I have the complete parts catalogue if you ever need a drawing with the AR part numbers. Also, I have quite a few trim and body parts and will be posting them quite soon. Regards, Des Tennessee.
