I am having trouble sealing the banjo fittings on the supply line to the filter housing in the engine compartment. I am using copper washers and they just arent doing it. Would aluminum work better or am I missing something? the bolt head really digs into the washer so if I try to loosen and reposition the bolt and washer, it will never seal again. I took the fitting out and used a wetstone to true it up a little. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I kind of thought along the same lines as dad. Wont there be problems with gas eating the rtv? although, if it is just silicon, it should be just fine. thanks john, we'll give it the old junior-college-try some more.

well its fixed but had to replace the whole thing to do it. I swapped in the one from dad's dellorto-ed 74. It has a straight connection on the inlet instead of the 90 degree banjo fitting that came with the housing on my car.
