Has anyone successfully installed power windows in a Series 1 'Sud? Got any pics? I believe the late model Suds offered that as an option.

Hi friend,I installed electric windows in series 2 Sprint, and it's not too hard, but it's not too easy either. You'll have to find electric windows from 33,then you'll made them from yours and the donors.Cut the connect point of the cords of both mechanisms, and then swich the electric mechanism from 33 to SUD's rail.Weld the connect point to the plate, and find place to attach the electric mechanism to the door and you're ready.I'll show some pictures soon

I've seen a S2 ti with power windows. But I think it was a very after market option.

There was just a motor bolted to the door, over where the manual winder handle would have gone. But they worked!

Also seen a s3 4 door with power windows. It was very s2 33 esk with the power window switches in the center console.

Moral of the story is, some alfasuds came with it standard.
