I am putting together a 1986 Alfa that I purchased largely in parts and pieces. I am working on the three-pronged power switch in the trunk area. the wires are color coded. Presumably the middle (black) more is ground and can be grounded to the trunk lid to ground the license plate light assembly. Presumably one of the contact switches runs to each of the 3 lights in the light attembly -correct? Why are there 3 connects? What is the third one for??? Thanks for the help in advance. Between pictures and what I have found on the site I have the car in running condition and am not putting the electrical system back in order. Man these Italians don't make these systems easy to figure out sometimes!!!

For anything electrical I suggest you contact BB memebr PapaJam and ask him to send you a copy of the excellent wire diagrams he has made for our cars. They are a vast improvement over the cryptic schematics in the Alfa shop manuals.
