I don't really consider this a "favorite" racing picture, but it sure was amazing to see it happen! From the 1999 Le Mans 24 hour...this photo was actually from the 'pre-race' warm-up...as most of you know this happened again DURING the race!

I can tell you exactly what he was thinking: "This is going to hurt!"

I know the only really bad shunt I had, that is exactly what came out of my mouth. I saw Lewis Hamilton interviewed on Top Gear once and he was asked a question something like "what do you think when you see you are going to crash" and he said "This is going to hurt!" I think it is probably universal.

This thread is a great idea. I will look through my pictures and see what I have.

Thanks Lance. I showed the "Two Als" to Junior a couple of years ago, he just shook his head, took a drag off his Marlboro and muttered something like, "That was a loooong time ago."
