Since I've got my 'Fetta GT running, my only indication of oil pressure is oil spewing out of the rivet holes for the preheat hose brackets on the cam cover. Has anyone plugged these holes before? I was thinking aluminum MIG welding or something similar so I wouldn't have to deal with ugly rivet heads or the crusty old brackets.

On the engine block, numerous holes that exit the block wall are plugged with threaded aluminum bolts (or rods)....the heads are then shaved flush. Perhaps you could tap the holes and use this approach if you do not have a TIG welder on hand. Another option would be to countersink both ends on the existing holes and plug with aluminum rod.....peen both ends...then shave flush.
