I had a need to fix leaks in the nylon tubing and splitter joints in the oil feeds of my 2 stroke motorcycle. I tried hot melt glue and it lasted about 24 hrs. I discussed epoxy and silicone with Richard Jemison and Jim Steck and discovered that Jim has experience with 3D printing of nylon and I decided to weld the leaking joints. Jim suggested 250 degrees Celsius and I set my precision soldering iron to that temperature. He also suggested using nylon fishing line as a filler and I scrounged a few feet from my neighbor. It appears to have worked. When I fixed the leak that I knew about I then found a smaller one and then a third one when I pressurized the line and submerged it in water.

Not directly Alfa related but maybe helpful to someone with another project.
