Parts wanted for 73 GTV

1439 Views 7 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  alfa_chan
Hello everybody -

I am looking for the following items for my 115.01

1) a set of Momo Vega rims

2) a set of 2000 GTV front grille that needs restoration - going to black primer it. (I've a nice set of grille on my GTV right now, too nice for the condition of the car. I am going to save it to be used after I've bare metal painted my gtv)

BTW, would that be a sin if I put a 1750 grille on my 2000??

3) maybe a set of 3 pt retractable seatbelts - (my driver side is not retracting and the passenger side is stuck all the time)

Please PM me if anyone has them for sale. Thank you :D

I'm in the Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley) area.

Cold air intake

Oh, one more part. :D

My GTV doesn't have the cold air tube connected to the SPICA airbox, and it's missing the part next to the radiator (highlighted in the attached picture of somebody else's GTV)
Currently I have a 3" L shape tube put onto the airbox (inlet points to the ground) to kind of feeding cold air into the box. But I want the "RAM-AIR" effect of the original design. I was thinking fabricating one out of metal tubes, but I don't know how the whole part looks like.
Any picture of it would be greatly apprecaited.

Thank you :D

Whoa... does that distributor use that new Bluetooth technology?:D
I think it's running on 802.11g. Bluetooth is too slow. Haha!! :D

You should be able to get the air tube from APE. It's just a flexible plastic tube. BTW '73 GTV's came with retracting lap belts and the shoulder belt was a fixed, non-retracting belt that clipped onto the male part of the lap belt.

Ciao,
I found the flexible tube @ a local AutoZone already (for $12), but I'm missing the part that goes in between the grille and the raidator (the piece shown in the picture).

Hmm... sounds like my GTV has an aftermaket one. It's made by Klippan and one belt for all (both shoulder and lap), just like those on modern cars.

Ciao,
Sorry, I mis-understood. I think you still should be able to get one from APE.

My '73 GTV has Klippan too. The tag says Model 402 1973. Maybe you have ones from a later car or Alfa switched over early.

Ciao,
I better contact APE asap. Thank you GianniB! :D
