Sorry for the newbie question...

I have been restoring MGs for many years and I am spoiled in the availability of parts through Moss and Victoria (now one company). There is virtually no part, screw, piece of plastic, or miscellaneous part that I could not find on the site and order within a few days. The catalogs were easy to follow as most of them have blow-up diagrams of all the parts in the place on the car.

Is there a similar place for Alfa parts?

For instance right now I am rebuilding my seats, and I need the 8 screws that hold them to the floor, and the plastic sleeves that support the headrests... it does not seem like any of the US based distributors have these parts.

Thanks for the help!

Go to your local Ace Hardware for the seat screws. I used Allen head screws as they don't strip as easily as the originals.

Well, there's your problem. I love the US-based suppliers; they're great for mechanical parts. But for a full line of Alfa restoration parts, you need to visit the European suppliers' sites. Classic Alfa in the UK is my favorite. OKP Parts in Germany and Cicognani in Italy (for all things rubber) are two others I have used.

Classic Alfa is excellent! I have ordered TONS from them, and they have a great selection. Their prices are usually LOWER than any US based supplier, even when you factor in shipping. And shipping from the UK surprisingly doesnt take that long at all.

Agreed. If I place an order this weekend, I will have it by Wednesday or Thursday and shipping charges are comparable to vendors here in the USA.

Accept this... anything down to a fastener or a washer like the Brits do is pure fantasy.. You aren't going to find bits and pieces that are priced at 20 cents apiece from any Alfa supplier... an '86 car is on the cusp of "Newish" and wear items plastic parts aren't going to just land in your Amazon box. there is no demand for them . Best fend for parts cars for that stuff... It took near 40 years to develop a repop industry to satisfy the 50's and 60's cars. we have and that industry didn't drill down to the bolts. and nuts. I forgot to mention ..alot of the British cars share parts from each other...that spreads the market. Alfas .. not so much except for many electronics.

IN272 SPIDER HEADREST SLEEVE TRIM

the seat track 'cap' or 'allen' screws the alfa shops don't supply, afaik.
so you'll have to find something in one of the stores (M8x1.25 maybe 25mm/30mm long)....just be aware that the head needs to be the right size to fit inside the rail.
you can find them used on ebay but sometimes you get sent ones where the allen head is rounded out inside and that they never tell you.....
