Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had ever seen a later spider with body color painted headlight rings. I was thinking it might look pretty good having the headlight rings match the body color of the car.

If anyone has some pictures please share them.

i tryed on a old set of rings, painted them gloss black.. looked really mice..

Murray's (msiert) are painted body color (black) and look pretty good. Probably depends on the color of the car, though. I wouldn't do it on a red car, for example.

Powdercoat is always nice.

Still, regardless of car color, I think black is the way to go.

i like the chrome look - i actually wished my car had more chrome - but that is the fun thing about owning a spider - you can personalize them to however you would like.

The Porsche 911 SC had near the same headlights and headlight rings. I restored one in the 90' (it was a 82') and the headlight rings were painted in the same colour as the body (it was a white one). It was a factory modification, to give a litte up-to-date look. So I think it would be not choking to do the same on a 90' S4 spider for example (and you'll win some money to paint instead of replace rusted or little damaged rings...). A picture would be welcome !
