Mark your calendars for March 23 as we'll be heading to the Schulenburg area for a tour of the famous Painted Churches.

We'll meet at 9:30 at the Starbucks near Katy Mills Mall (1998 Katy Mills Blvd.) and roll out at 10:00. The route will take us through some of the most beautiful roads of Waller, Austin, Colorado, and Fayette Counties before finally touring the churches.

Bring a snack as we'll have a late lunch, tentatively planned for Momma's at Sengelmann Hall in Schulenburg.

Well, despite a 30% chance of thunderstorms, we had only a few minutes of light rain. Cool, cloudy weather in the morning turned to sunny, clear skies in the afternoon. A good time was had by all.
