Paint Question

I was wondering, as I think most 164s have the gray trim on the lower half, what is the paint code for that section? I plan on getting my car repainted and I was wondering what the code was for that, I don't remember seeing it in the trunk with the other paint code. Thanks.

see Alfa 164 TSB 49.93.01 and http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/164-168-1991-1995/22259-164s-side-skirts.html

Search function for "paint codes is helpful for this info and more.
That should do the trick, thanks! One other thing though, the black trim between my doors is pretty messed up to, what do you suppose I should do about that, paint it? If so, what color should I use?

Flat black trim paint good for wiper blade arm, window trim etc.
What I found was that if you go to a auto paint outlet who carries SEM bumper paint, they will just match the paint directly, then sell you spray cans of the correct color from the SEM line. There is an entire range of SEM paints specifically formulated for rubber/plastic bumpers.
I have started this on my own car and will post results when done.

Maybe a couple of weeks until done.

Also this color or a darker color is almost a perfect match for the interior plastic. Center console etc.. Not sure durability for these items but I have a new A/C vent that I will match the correct SEM paint to if anyone here is interested. I am sure the center console/ashtray may be a great candidate for a respray.

Just an observation. As that plastic has a metalliac paint on it which looses it's color over time due to wear and armor all type products.

When I went to my friendly paint shop and gave them my colour code (364), I was surprised and delighted when it came up on their computer as TWO colour recipes - one for the top half, and one for the 'bumper colour'.

So basically, what I'm saying is that the one colour code actually encompasses two colours - it does for my 164, at least.

I'd love to tell you the shop and their system, but I don't think that will help much. ;) It's Linkup Paint Supplies, Hamilton/Auckland/Tauranga (NZ only!) and the paint system is deBeer, which is from Holland.

Cheers,
