My 79 spider OVS has a hose running to the dipstick holder. The hose is cracked and leaking oil.I have no idea what size hose this is but needs to be replaced. Anyone know the size?
I'm not sure what function the OVS serves and I am curious if it can be replaced and if yes where to look to purchase the part

Centerline has new ones.
It takes the vapors/blowby from the engine, separates the pure vapor and sends it back to the intake system to be recombusted, and lets the oil separate out, flow back to the oil pan through the long hose. It's part of the emissions system. In the 60s and earlier, cars had "road pipes" that sent this stuff into the air, on the ground, frame, etc. Giuliettas have a rubber hose dumping this overboard from the back of the block.
Any rubber hose that fits should be fine; around 1/4", maybe 5 or 6mm?

If your OVS is not rusted out then usually a good cleaning will restore it for further service. Remove it & soak it the innards with solvent (brake cleaner spray works well), rinse & repeat.
