I would like to install a pointless electronic ignition system in my 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider (a USA car that has the standard distributor and points set up at the moment).

The owner of the company that sells the Petronix Ignition system has asked me to send him the number that is stamped on the base of the distributor.

Unfortunately, I can't find the number anywhere. Can anyone out there help me? I have attached a photo of the distributor.

We have the Pertronix ignitors for the stock Marelli distributors in stock and know what distributor you have and what the correct module for it is!

My previous post may have come across as snotty; this was not the intention.

Let's try again - the stock distributor in your '74 should be a Marelli S103B. We have, and have installed and tested, the Pertronix module that fits that distributor. It is a nice, easy install and works quite well.
