Hi,

I recall some information on the alfabb about this but can´t find it.

How many teeth does an alfetta 2.0 flywheel have? 130 or 131? The starter is 8 or 9 teeth?

Do 2.0 Spiders have the same configuration of teeth on the flywheel and starter?

Thanks!

Ringgear

All the Alfa 4 cyl cars from 1975-1989 used the "early" 131 tooth ringears.

Later "transaxle" cars (75s etc) past 1990 used the "late" 131 tooth ringear that is a smaller section (larger ID) that wont fit the early cars, and are the same ringear on Spiders after 1990.

Great Richard,

this confirms the number of teeth the ´82 alfetta flywheel I found for a friend in order to exchange his worn ring gear due to a lack of the shoulder bolt to hold the starter. 131 teeth is what I found.
