In the garage today and decide to work on the car instead. I am chasing grounds and came across two items that do not make any sense:
1989 Quadrifoglio
The first two pictures (733 and 759) are of the same item. I suspect that this the secondary fan's sensor that mounts on the radiator shroud. I need to replace the shroud and I found this stuck loose near the coil. As it appears the PO has covered the two wires going into the sensor with a sealant so I thought I would ask before taking it apart and then trying to mount it. How can I test it? A cup of hot water?

Picture number 644 was located near the firewall. It has a two brown wires - one going to ground on the body and the other with a connector clip attached to it (it is blurred). The cable run also has a purple wire that was doubled up inside the wire protector. There was a VIPER system on the car that I had disarmed as it had become problematic. Everything else in that area checks out - windshield washer motor pump possibly?

Any help appreciated.

Rick

The silver sensor was mounted to the right side of the fan shroud to turn on the electric fan (on cars with AC) if the air coming through the radiator increased to a certain point. It was a attached with only one screw, through the plastic and a clip nut. The newer shrouds have a small hole for it. If you don't use your AC, or have deleted it (I removed all the AC components inside and out. More leg room in the passenger footwell, more room under the hood) just tuck that guy off to the side. The relay, and wire may be AC related or from the old VIPER. Have you traced the wires?

Thanks andylarry - I am going to trace the entire VIPER system out tomorrow as I still have a current draw when the car is shut down that I cannot track down. I still have the AC in mine so I may just mount it back on the remnants of the shroud.
