Very nice wheel, do I see a couple of nicks at the 12 o'clock and 6'oclock? Something around 10 0'clock too? I had a NOS Montreal wheel that was nicked up from shelf wear even though it had a sponge sleeve around it in the bag.

Interested, please tell me if these were optional when my USA 71 1750 II GTV was originally purchased or aftermarket. ( assuming aftermarket)

Curious to see a side view also for spoke angle and what needs to be done for proper fitment, horns etc.

This was standard on 1750 GTV, i believe. I will post more detailed pics when I get home today.

I am pretty sure that this so called shallow dished Helebore was standard on Euro and rest of world 1750 GTV and maybe Spider that had the long steering shaft. It is not aftermarket. The USA 1750s had a short shaft steering column and deep dish steering wheels in plastic or maybe a wood Personal or wood Deep dish Helebore. Due to USA DOT Regs.

This shallow dish wheel easily fits onto a short shaft but leaves a gap to the steering column shroud which can be nicely filled with a ring of some sort. One I have has a large black oil seal (rear main) screwed onto the back of the wheel. I did not notice it for years.

Ken is correct. To add, I've only ever seen these wheels on 68 thru 71 model 1750 GT's and Spiders, the Euro models only.
Can't see the back of the wheel, but I'll assume the horn wings get attached to the back of it.
I've also seen these wheels with black plastic centers and even a wooden center to match the rim.

Thank you gentleman, since my father bought my 71 in 71 the steering wheel has had a leather cover strapped on, I need to cut it off and see if the black plastic is cracked. Love the wooden wheel.

Mine which must have been a dealer install on my ex 1971 USA FI 1750, had a Berlina centre cap. aluminum out ring and faux wood centre which IMHO looks the best.

Yes, horn wing is one piece, held on with a spring, a circular plate and a big spring clip.

Please be aware, if you buy this there are a bunch of little bits you'll need to make this a functional steering wheel. See the attached image form the parts manual.

Thanks Osso, are you saying it won't work where my stock 71 wheels is, aside from the gap? My OEM Black wheel is still in place with all original parts from 71.

I believe that centre is correct for the 1750 and pretty rare NOS.
