Hey Rover.
Welcome to the BB.
What kind and type of Alfa do you have ?
That information might help us steer you in the right direction.
Your location might help us as well.

Robert
Thanks Robert for your reply,
its an old gtv 2lit, location is inner west
I am more used to land rover forums where a post like this would have had a ton of replys in two days I guess you Alfa blokes are a bit more subdued than the 4wd crowd

Hey again Rover

Its an old GTV.
An old GTV 1971?
An old GTV GTV V6 1986 ?
A yeay model would be good.
Is it an original ?
There are many Alfa specialists
Some specialise in 60s models
some 70s models
some 80s models
some 90-current models.
A little bit more information would be nice to steer you in the right direction.
Inner west ?
Parramatta area ?
Try Randall + Perkins at Seven Hills 9838 8090

Hi Rover,

I used to live in the inner west. Frank's Pit Stop in Ashfield is pretty good. Frank's a good bloke and likes his Alfa's, he's in the club and advertises in the mag. I still go there now and again even though I've moved away.

In Five Dock there's one on Queen Street behind Parramatta Road, a few blocks east of the Bentley dealer. Never been there (I drive past it on the way to Frank's) but they have a good reputation and a nice assortment of cars waiting for service. The name escapes me at the moment but drive along it and you'll see it. (Monza motors rings a bell). This one is more of an Alfa only specialist than Frank who does a lot of other cars.

I'm guessing yours is a 105 series. Manning Motors in Brookvale is really good at 105's and I take mine there for serious work. I'm off there (almost a 1 hour drive for me these days) this morning so you could take that as a recommendation.

Oh, and this forum is really helpful and you'll find almost anything you want. It does help to be more specific in your questions. I saw your post and Robert's first reply and thought there's no point me saying anything about someone in Sutherland who only does 166's.

Landrover drivers spend most of their time at mechanics Rover, they would all be discussing it! I think the Alfa blokes are just driving better cars so have less time to talk about it. :)

welcome to the forum and good luck with your GTV.
