My wifes latest aquisition . What have I created:confused:. My wife spotted this 3 blocks from new house, (fell in love) and had me do the negotiations. Out the door after taxes we paid $1194.48 :D. It did start but sounded like it had skipped the timing belt and was running really rough. He (dealer) said that his mechanic had checked it over and could not get it to run smothly. I went over the different things he could have the mechanic look at. He asked me what would I pay for it and I said $1100. as it sat. Thinking of course that if it was worse than I assumed I had a 24V parts car;), "and I dont need any more projects". Used my AAA to have a roll-back drop it at my house. Used intake accordian meant for my 95' LS (hose was split and wrapped with electrical tape), as well as a few vac hoses. It runs better now but still getting 1221 code. Tomorrow I will exchange AFM with one of the others, put in some 93 octane, go over grounds and to start to narrow it down. Might be a fuel problem, dont have time to play with it today. My wife is upset with me because I told he she cant drive it till I go over a few things :(. Told her that she should not drive it till timing belt and water pump, etc have been done. Pleased with purchase though, I really like the color .

WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!

Looks sweeeet! Must be something up with the wives...we just got a 92 S for my better half......

.
Color is great--does it have the built-in, but optional leaf raker.:)
wow thats a clean one...i can see why she is mad that she cant drive it
She looks good! That price is certainly the result of not having access to a mechanic familiar with a 24V Alfa. It doesn't look like she's been used much, either. How many miles?

Best regards,

Not as sweet as that new addition to your fam ;). Very nice S:cool:.

My wife would agree with you:eek:. Did a shallow grass seeding right before most of the leaves fell. Leaving the leaves to protect them. And I guess I just like the look :p. Even told the tree trimming outfit to stop raking when they were cleaning up.

Best regards,
Thanks! The vehicle has 107K on it. It does look good but there are problems. Paint and interior look really good, but intake tubes have some sort of yellow silicon to seal them:eek:, plan to replace all gaskets there if any leaks are detected, cant find tube from exhaust gas recirculation that leads to canister, knock sensor connector broken and needs replaced, cooling fan hard wired to ignition, and suspension is sqeaking. Might just be from sitting, but sounded like front roll-bar end links. I have my work cut out for me :). It might sound like I'm nit-picking, I'm not. Just not a driver as of yet, but still a serious bargain! :D
Looks good great and what a deal!
I just finished replacing the clutch slave, had Jake help me with bleeding it!:D

Gotta do the water pump/belt/tensioner next....want me to bring mine down there or you wanna come up here? We'll do 'em side by side!! Get 'em done in a few hours.......right!!??

I can see it now, women sittin' in the house, drinkin' wine.........;)

Sounds like a plan ;). Except I'll be doing the wifes Platinum which I have been using as my daily driver :p. Starting to really like automatics, must be age catching up to me :D. I'll be in touch.
I might be able to give a hand this weekend. I'll check with the 'ol Lady.
Paul
that looks like a sweet deal.....I want an LS again!!
Why are there not any $1100 4-cams a couple of blocks from my house?
