Hello,

Finally, ready to install a new hood liner in my Alfetta GT.

Any advice, pattern, what to do, or what not to do.

I have Alfa clips and spray addhesive. Fire?

Thanks,

Got it in, looks good, used clips from MCS and liner from Ebay guy in Michigan, also used 3m spray addhesive, with smooth side in to apply the decal, decal has been hard, won't stick and release, I am going to let it cool. I was out in full hot sun.

Cost, and photos

So what did the foam cost?
How thick?
Assume you removed the hood for installation?
Who are the clips from? MCS ? McMaster Carr ?
And keep us posted, photos, as to how this works and looks.
Does it really lower the noise inside the car?

The foam in charcol in color, and 1/4" thick or so. It has a
"smooth" side and "coarse" side, it can be used either way.
I spoke with the supplier, I used MCS "Alfa" reproduction clips,
and 3m spray addhesive for a smooth installation, yes i removed
hood. Since he did not have pattern for Alfetta GT, he sold me
bulk 4' x 5' piece for $99 I think. I installed it in place, with hood
upside down on towel, i squared up material, installed Alfa Clips,
smooth side to the engine, sprayed 3m addhesive as I went,
smoothed out bubbles, after I went around edges with scissors
and hobby knife, then caulked edges with rubber gasket addhesive,
my only problen has been, getting the decal to stick, when i pull
the protective layer, it pulls decal. Pictures soon.
