I miss ProGlass $350 windshields, that I could I could go pick up myself.
I have to remove a wind shield , to restore a great 82 GTV6, and I was looking at new gaskets ($313), or cracked upon removal windshield to preserve the good, original gasket, price projections.
Fortunately, the car Rocks, and will still be worth it.
I try to save as many as I still can.

Glenn, it is possible to remove the windshield and gasket intact. Suggest a warm day, and some patience. I've done it by myself several times and I'm certain you can too. If you have a helper it's easier.

If you need a NOS windshield I'm willing to sell mine, but it's going to be priced similarly to the one posted from MrFiat. I also have a nice used spare gasket.

EB Spares shows a new windshield gasket at around $200 (plus shipping) which would save you a little bit of money. You might reach out to Classic Alfa as well since they bought out the Highwood stock but haven't updated their website yet.

Rob, I have pulled Very many out successfully, but I have concerns about this one.

I'm also looking for a new windshield, preferably bronze tint (what I currently have) since my windshield is weathered by time and not pleasant to look out of at dawn or dusk. Afra.it appears to have clear and green tints (with or without antenna), and there's an outfit in Finland caled SicurVetro. But Ant (the guy who runs it) is impossibly hard to get a hold of. We got a hold of him and apparently he needed an order of 6 to make bronze, but then we were unable to get in touch.

If there's enough people, perhaps someone could try again? The problem is they'd all have to be shipped to the same location.

@racingswim2006 Just out of curiosity, what color tint (if any) is your NOS one?

Ever try to fix the radio antenna glued to the inside of the glass on a GTV-6? If so, how and did it work? I've tried a rear window defroster repair kit but even though I got continuity it didn't seem to improve the radio reception and when the car was new the reception was fine.

I fixed it a few years ago...but I can't remember exactly what I used. (I'll look and see what I used - I have it somewhere in my garage). Something like metallic tape to patch two parts of the antenna that had become broken, and reconnect them. My radio works quite well now! I"m just wondering what I'll do if I have to replace my windscreen with one without an antenna.

Shipping is a lot less for a gasket versus a windshield.
