Rob, I hope you postponed storing your car! Today is stunning! Amazing what a difference there can be; a few days ago I was freezing my toches off, worried that I'd crack my back window if I moved the top up or down. Today it's warm enough to be out in just a t-shirt. I'd still be out if I didn't have so much to do around the house (and so what am I doing in front of the computer . . .?). Wish I was able to go on the AONE Sortie.

Just got back. We lucked out again with great weather (the roads are always great!) Cars aren't going to sleep until absolutely necessary!

Happy Halloween

The deed is done.

Rained all day and the coming week too crappy.
Calling for snow by the end of the week.

Now she sleeps ... another great season with no problems, mechanical failures, or disappointments.

Time to take the Volkls out of storage and warm up the waxing iron ....

Unless it warms up again, I think tonight was probably my last top-down night on my ride home from work. It was 45 F out; wind chill brings that down to 33 F at 50 mph. I'm hoping I still get a little top-down time during the days.

I stay away from it, my boat is on Oneida Lake. They must have been some brave individuals to scuba in that lake! They say you can eat the fish now, one a week and not if your pregnant! Something wrong there!

The Fiat works well. Which car/person were you at the AONE sortie.
the bigger question is, why the hell would you scuba dive in the country's most polluted lake????????????? I used to race canoes and after every race, when the weather was suitable,we racers would cool down by having a brief swim. There was a race that started at the SU boathouse at the end of the lake and we NEVER went in the water there no matter how how we were at race's end. In facet we would joke that if one wanted to commit suicide all we had to do was get in the water.
Put the Pasta Fazoom Rally on your calendar for next year. I promised Dave Pratt an article for the next Velocissima.
take care

Finally Got Her on the Road

Having just purchased my first Alfa, I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the plates from the DMV so I could really drive her before winter set in. I got the plates on Friday and have been lucky with the weather here. What a blast! I have always owned big muscle cars in the past and all I can say is she is fun as hell to drive. Cal, good to here there is someone in the state that I can turn to along with my newfound friend in Watertown when I can't follow the wiring diagram! Here is a picture I took yesterday of the new toy!

roll call reply

I hope this is still roll call, i haven't quite got the hang of this message board yet!

My name is Evan and i live in Darien, CT and attend school at Boston Univ. This past august i bought my 88 milano verde from Giovanni Nardi of the greater boston area. You may have seen it in the Italian Car day at Larz Anderson, where it took first in it's class. I'm often around Fairfield county, CT letting the car "stretch it's legs" and let me know if anyone from the area ever want's to take a drive.

p.s. if anyone knows of a good mechanic in southwestern CT let me know, since Continental Garage closed up i've been lost and i need a transaxle bushing job!

No personal experience, but I've been told (by my Alfista attorney!) that Dominick's in Westchester is good. You're not too far from there, certainly no farther than you were from Continental.
