Recently purchased a new '91 spider with AC. The blower engages and the compressor kicks-in, but no cold air. Any recommendations on servicing? Does it have to be CFC-12/Freon? Is it even worth fixing?

A '91 with non-functioning A/C?!? It's not even worth owning now. You should give it to me. Please send a photo.

OK, seriously. Welcome to the BB. This is a great resource. Unfortunately I don't much about A/C. But I bet some here do. Hang on until they chime in.

Meanwhile, post some pictures of your Spider. We likes pictures!

First, welcome to the BB!

There is a very good alternative to the traditional freon. It's called Environsafe, a.k.a. ES-12. It is environmentally friendly (no special license needed), and fully compatible with older A/C systems. For further info, please click on the 2 links below:
