So my 2000 gtv door panels have lower holes for hardware that secures through the lower holes on the brackets behind the handle. Can someone shoot a pic of what the hardware looks like under the handle? Looks like there is a washer or something affixed against the surface of the door panel?

That door panel is not original.

Is that a US mod? My built `74 Euro spec 2000 GTV hasn`t got the screw and washer shown. That photo also shows a lot more securing screws around the edge than mine has.

My 74 has brackets spot welded to the inside of the door that carry a 6mm floating 4 sided nut. The attachment fasteners are 6mm threaded screws set in the countersunk washers on the outside.

Thank you everyone! Your feedback helped lead me in the right direction at the hardware store today. Got the door panels installed and I'm another step closer to completion.
