I have a 91 164l and really would like to know if someone has an extra remote for the car and how to program it. Either that or a good alternative but would love to get a factory one.

These are nearly in the unobtanium status, but you could try Alfa Parts in Berkeley, but you might have to give up your first born...good luck!

Also, programming instructions should be available on the Alfa digest.

Sure, there number is (510)525-9435 and their online catalog says they charge about $90 for one.

Open the little sucker up and turn the little dashpot on the circuit board 'til it starts working and then fine tune by turning ever so little bit of a turn 'til you get the best range out of it. Screw it back together.

Of course, use a fresh battery and don't be surprised if it requires lots of patience and a bit of time to get it to even start working.

Google search (Trail Alfa) in Dearborne Hts. Michigan. They keep a supply of fobs that are new and used... reprograms it for your as an added charge... The guy to ask for is Dean Russell.
