A couple of months ago, I purchased a media blast cabinet from Harbor Freight, but I didn't get around to setting it up until this last Saturday. With discounts and coupon it was well under $200.00.

My first project was to strip the old paint and road grime from the trailing arms of my '73 Spider in preparation for painting. All I can say is WOW, what an amazing piece of equipment! I had both trailing arms stripped, cleaned and primed in under 2 hours (it would have been even quicker if the circuit breaker on my old compressor hadn't popped several times), and never broke a sweat. I can't even guess at the number of hours I've wasted over the years cleaning and preping parts with wire brushes, sandpaper or paint strip.

If anyone is wondering if a blast cabinet is worth the expense and the garage space, all I can say is go for it, you'll love it.

Best regards,
