Aldo, I appreciate the compliment, but the work was done by the previous owner, John Ortakales (a member of this board), a master machinist and woodworker. He used cherry veneer not only on the glove box door, but on the center console as well. I would not even know how he did it, but I have seenit on his other vehicles as well.
I don't think the second series Spiders came with this trim; however, I have a small scale model with Euro specs that has that same arrangement. Nevertheless, the work has been tastefully done, I think, and it just has that vintage feeling to it.
I have also seen Berlinas of that same model year with veneer dashboards.
I didn't see that anyone has ever started an Alfetta Photo Thread.
So, since I backed my 76 Alfetta GT out of the garage today and thought I needed a picture of it on the snow in my driveway, we'll see if this catches on.
