Has anyone mounted a tow bar to the bumper mounts on a 2a Spider. I have a 73 that I need to move and will use a dolly if necessary but would rather flat tow. I have an universal tow bar that I have used on other cars. Does anyone have a picture that shows the bumper mounting points. I've never seen a Spider with the bumper off, so any help here will be appreciated.

Why not rent a car hauler trailer if its only for a short time or distance?
In a perfect world I would, but, given the cost, and the fact that the tow vehicle is not up to both a 2000lb(no motor or trans) car and a 2500lb trailer, I am unable to do so. I have towed cars long distances with tow bars and it works well. My only trepidation is that the bumper mount points are not husky enough, so I am plumbing the deep knowledge base of the forum in hopes of an answer.

Ahh
After hours of searching I found a shot of the bumper mounts http:/www.al34161fabb.com/forums/car-restoration/34161-spider-front-end-structure.html
Clearly this is not up to towing. Dolly here I come!
