Looking for a good used set or new.

I have 3 2000L blocks that I'm going to part with (one way or the other). And I do believe the one has new liners in it. I pulled the rod & main caps the other day & found new bearings & the crank was smooth as fresh steel. I think this engine I'm referring to came from a 78,, not sure but it came with the Spider when purchased.
Would you be interested?
Will you be stripping the block or selling it complete?
I'll PM you.
A 78 would not have 10 to 1 Motronic pistons in it unless replaced with such.
Motronic pistons came in use only with the Series 4 Spiders. (90-94)

Looking for an upgrade. Both my GTV and Alfetta need pistons and liners.
Agreed Rich, the engine was "with" the '78 and work was being done to it, then abruptly halted because PO's mechanic moved. I carted the eng. home & put it in storage w/o inspection. Briefly looking as I was pulling it from storage I noticed the dome sticking out of the block,, so maybe but not definite yet. only loaded into truck to transport.
Tell me Rich, is there an easy way to identify the pistons?
hello- i have a set that we checked before installing( used bore gauge ) and runout and spec was good. I installed them with new rings and a "hone" and the car had great compression and leakdown but burned oil. I believe with the right set of rings and matching hone for them the set is quite usable. Jonathan
matteas,
that's what I put in mine, but haven't verified the engine in storage. I have to check, sorry for delay but things have come up (life).
Jonathan may have what you want from his recent post,

Greg
Matteus, that is not a factory Motronic piston.
I too wondered what I posted was a factory motronic piston. Thanks for clarifying Richard. I believe the shape is similar to the Motronic design.
Found some, thanks to all for the offers.
Glad you’ve found your needs

I have a set similar but slipper type, and dome is .080 (2mm) taller than factory Motronics.
If anyone is interested, with as new liners and new box of Hasting`s rings $ 450.00
