Hi everybody,

I have still a lot of work to do on the 2600 Touring, but I start to repair the different function of the Monty.

First step, brakes :

I have dismount all pedal system parts (see pictures).

Do you know if repair kits are available for :
  • brake master cylinder
  • clutch master cylinder
  • and brake master vac.
?

What technique did you use to get the securing pin out of the pedal shaft?

Hi Don,

I have no problem to get the securing pin out of the pedal shaft :

(I can't insert pictures today, I'll as soon as it will work)

May be a small kick with a pin extractor.

I'll try again, maybe with more heat. Bugger wouldn't budge when I first tried.

The pin may be blocked by rust (see my picture).
Give a strong blow to the head with a pin punch, being careful not to damage the thread.

By the way, somebody can help me => Do you know if repair kits are available for :
  • brake master cylinder
  • clutch master cylinder
  • and brake master vac.

Meanwhile I have made few investigation? My conclusion are :
  • brake master cylinder repair kit : Available :smile2:
  • clutch master cylinder repair kit : Available :smile2:
  • brake master vac repair kit : Not available :frown2:
