Is it normal for the Mono pod volt-meter gauge to go to "0" when the air conditioning is turrned on? AC works fine and the volt-meter works normal when AC is not tuned on.

On my '87 Quad monopod the aux fan occasionally comes on and when it does the voltmeter drops to an indicated 10-11v. It also does it when I turn on the AC switch in the ****pit. I am beginning to think the aux fan is going bad and drawing too much power when it runs. Should I replace it? Comments?

Hi,

I also noticed that the voltmeter in the dash was dropping below 12 volt when I turned the fan from the heating on on my 87QV.

Connecting a good multimeter directly to the battery reveiled that the onboard gauge is somewhat pessimistic and boardtension stayed well above 12,5 volt, check this first before relying on the onboard gauge
