I have a 1968 GTV 1750. The window handles and all door trim are new (PO), however, there is no backing disc or spring behind the winder handle. This diagram suggests that there should be. I can't seem to find these parts among my usual sources. Am I missing something here?

Hey Merv,
I've got 3 early GTVs...one car has them. 1 out of 3 ain't bad.?
part (14) is a stainless ring, part 105.26.55.435.00 is a white/clear plastic washer. I'm also on the hunt for 2 of these, no supplier has them. A few suppliers have a black plastic equivalent, but its for a later style crank and doesn't fit...at all. I've tried.
I can post a picture tonight if you want to see what you are chasing.

Ouch is right. Spending that much with the risk of them being brittle. Seems like something that could be made cheaply in a lathe or 3D printer.

I can add that in my loose parts box I found one of these. I will buy a couple more. They are from the plumbing section in the local hardware. Fits the inside of the early winder perfectly!

Wonder what other cars have, like common Ford Escorts, etc.?

Mine were missing. I found a spring in the door but the nylon washers and the metal discs were absent. On the way from a local parts supplier!
