It is with great sadness that I report Maurizio Tabucchi past away yesterday at 11pm. I have no more information, though he had been ill for a year or so.

He was a great friend of Alfa Romeo and wrote many important books; I was referring to his "Guide to the identification of Alfa Romeo cars" moments before receiving the news.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Maurizio Tabucchi, Lorenzo Mazullo proprietor of a famous restoration shop in sunglasses, and wife Rita at Monza about 5 years ago - the occasion escapes me for the moment.

A friend sorely missed.
