Hi,

Am at the final stages of rear subframe removal and, so Alfa, the last of the 4 remaining bolts has siezed hard - so much that the 13mm socket on it turns but the bolt doesn't.

Been looking at bolt extractor tools but, as the bodyshell is being scrapped, am considering just drilling the head off. Any other suggestions?

Also looking to remove the fuel tank without removing the rear sway bar. Is that possible if the rear subframe is out?

Thanks guys and brutal, Richard2. The only reason I am removing the subframe is to save it.

Problem with the bolt solved. Drilled into the head of the bolt, first with a 4mm bit and then an 8mm bit. The plan was to get the bolt head to drop off. Ironically, when put a 1/2" socket on it, to shear the weakened thing off, the bolt came out easy peasy in one peace. The vibration and heat of the drilling had loosened it off.

Wasn't the planned method of removal but job done and got a souvenir drilled bolt as a memento :)

Cheers
