Hi all.

Does anyone know of a local supplier that stocks the air filter, fuel filter and other consumables for the 3ltr 75 in the SE suburbs in melbourne?
the only air filter ive found is a fram filter for 70 dollars plus an order fee and a two week wait. Thats a bit steep for an air filter isnt it?

thanks, Brian

Contact The Spare Place or Turin imports here in Adelaide and they will ship one to you for a fraction of the price straight away.
thanks for that, i sent them enquiries,
im re-doing the interior of the car. I dont want to ruin the original styling so i dont want to stray too far from stock but i want a more sports luxury feel. the front seats need reupholstering. If thats too expensive i was wondering how much id be looking at for replacement originals in good condition (not the twead or ricaro)? has anyone had the originals re upholstered? i made some enquiries, they quoted 400 for two fronts and the rears if they are easy to do(depending on design) ranging up to 300 per front seat if they are difficult to do.
also, is there a list on the bb somewhere of wheels with the 5x98 stud pattern?
Try the Italian Job in Oakleigh :)
G'day Brian. How's it going? You can use the ryco Z168 fuel filter, and the Z89A oil filter. Shouldn't be more than $40 combined and most stores will keep them in stock, eg. Autobarn, Repco, Supercheap. These sorts of stores should stock plugs and can probably get rotor, cap, leads etc within 1-2days. As for the air filter, I got a K&N reusable filter which will last forever. They're pricy, about $150. Part# KN 33-2545. For the rest, I recommend Turin as well. All 5 stud Alfa wheels will fit except those off the Alfa 166 (5X108??)

Cheers, Scott
Hey Scott,
Yeah, i think my local autobarn lied and said the 168 was a discontinued line!
I was thinking of trying a set of black or dark gray 16" wheels. Dont think alfa have any of those ?? but i would be interested if there are any alfa 16"s available to suit. I'll be working alot in a few weeks so i'll be onto you about that red grille if you've still got it?

I dont suppose anyone here knows any mechanical engineers looking for 3rd year uni students for the summer :)
worth a try.

Centrebores are smaller from 164 onwards.
Hey Brian, yeah I still have that grille. 16" Alfa wheels shouldn't be too hard to find but like Alfettish says you'll need to open the centrebore up a little. You might need to be luck to find some charcoal/black wheels.

I'm sure they lied about the filter, in fact I think there's at least one in stock at my store.

What did you end up doing with your your gearbox?
double clutching...haha. in time it will be done. maybe when i have access to a workshop

i'll get back to you soon on the grille. i called another autobarn, they had one in stock and said they are continuing the line. so shouldnt be a problem there. just the air filter now.
