Hi Everybody -

My '84 has NO RUST - in part, thanks to the pebbly-textured rust proofing the factory put on the exterior sills. The question is, how does anybody clean and polish that area? There must be something better than a scrub brush.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, David O'D

I dunno but mine is getting sanded smooth when it goes to the paint booth soon. I thought most Alfa rust came from the inside out..... I consider myself lucky too but I attribute it to a dry climate.

Well it seems to have held up just fine, but any suggestions on how to clean or polish it? It's tucked under, but I'd still like to clean it up somehow. Mine has some overspray on it and I'm not sure how to get it off.

I looked under my 84 spider and yes there is a rubber type coating. If you want it shiny, try power washing and use one of the new spray on ceramic waxes. Just a thought.
