the year 1975 is a third series The true Montecarlo is series 2 1.3s only 4400 were made between 1973 & 1974. they used the lusso body with extended 1/4 panel flares here is the difference in this picture of the two cars one montecarlo and the other regular 1.3s also the interior is this this one of the montecarlo

The Fulvia Montecarlo has the same mechanical specification (engine, gearbox, &c.) as the normal Fulvia coupe. As Fanalone said, the biggest difference is that the Montecarlo uses the Series 2 1600 HF bodyshell, without bumpers. But a 1975 Montecarlo will have the same gearbox as the standard S3 coupe.

wrong numbers

818630-052024 motor 818-302 on one side of the gearbox manuf 73
simia 24321 A-2276682
Something is wrong with your serial numbers. Motor type 818-302 was not used for the Series 3 Montecarlo; 818-302 was only used for the following:
Series 1 berlina GTE;
Series 1 coupe 1.3 (not 1.3S); and
Series 2 berlina.

Chassis 818-630-052024 should have motor type 818-303.

ciao pazzo22,
If you have not already bought this Montecarlo, you should be very careful. If you are correct about the serial numbers, this car does not have its original engine.

The engine itself appears to be a 'frankenmotor', the block number 818-302 and the PHH 7 carbs are probably from an S1 coupe 1.3 (1967), but the head number 818-140 is from a 1.2 HF (1966). Obviously, none of this is correct for a 1975 Montecarlo.

the # 818-140 are first series cars the 1.2 HF look at the block it should said 818-303 the 818-140 is a # in the cylinder head which could have being used for a prior repair. the stamped chassis plate should said 818-630. and the engine bock 818-303 and yes the carburators are correct. here is a picture of a 1.2HF first series.

If the numbers on the chassis plate matches the number on the cowl stamp, then your chassis is correct (I don't think there was much doubt about this); but, as I said before, the engine has been replaced with the incorrect type, and the replacement engine does not have its original head.

As Fanalone pointed out in an earlier post, there are fake Montecarlos out there. It's possible that your chassis is a genuine Montecarlo, but the fact that it has an incorrect engine makes me suspicious.
